Hanscom Air Force Base Housing

I remember when we got orders to Boston, I wasn’t ready to live in the city again. You can read more about the time we spent in the city, here. We were coming from Maine “the way life should be” living life in the slow lane and I was really enjoying it. So when I heard about Hanscom Air Force Base, I decided to check it out as an alternative to living in Boston.

At the time, I wasn’t able to find any photos or videos on what the Hanscom base housing looked like online. Hanscom family housing has such a high turn around rate that we were unable to view any of the home options to make a choice. We were basically assigned a house and saw it for the first time upon move in.

Hanscom AFB offers BAH housing & market rate housing. This home was BAH housing and was attached to another unit, sort of like a townhouse with a 1 car garage.
