Spreading hope during Coronavirus quarantine.

Spreading hope during Coronavirus quarantine.

Life can seem more redundant nowadays, than ever before. We don’t know for certain when life as we knew it will return to “normal”. All the while, trying to create a new normal for our children and heck, even ourselves. This is why it’s important to spread hope during Coronavirus quarantine.

I went for a short walk this morning and my spirits were so lifted by the way my neighbors are showing humanity during this crisis. Their messages were too inspiring to be contained to our neighborhood, so I’m extending the encouragement towards you.

Even though were indoors with our families and we have a billion apps to stay in touch, this quarantine still very much feels like an oppression.

And yet there’s people who are using their time to spread the message of hope and encouragement. I want to make someone else feel the way those messages made me feel along my walk today.

It really got me thinking, how can I spread the message of hope during this time to others?

I love what I see people doing through the news for our healthcare workers, God bless them! Somehow our grocery store and pharmacy workers go slightly unnoticed. All of these people are our heroes on the front lines.

Are you worried or feeling isolated? Perhaps your neighbor or the stranger at checkout is too. Join me in thinking about others right now and if you see an opportunity to spread hope, do so.

Whether you put an encouraging message outside of your house or simply offer a helpful gesture such as “do you need anything?” Can you grab milk for your neighbor so she doesn’t have to take the kids to the grocery store? Perhaps a thank you to a grocery store employee. Something so small in your eyes can turn someone else’s day around. Just as these simple messages inspired me to consider ways to be proactive.

We are stronger together

How have you spread hope to someone else during these uncertain times we’re living in?

Updated 4/18/20 still in coronavirus quarantine.

Here is a brief clip of a parade that went throughout base housing to celebrate the month of the military child. I am comforted by the humanity of others being shown at a time when our country is in such a crisis.

One act of compassion can send a ripple effect and you may never see all the people that one of your good deeds affected.
